The COVID-19 diaries: home school
25/03/2020

Hello again! I am still at it… I hope you are all doing ok out there. I feel a little more resigned/optimistic this morning, probably due to having a good night’s sleep. Thank you for your encouraging messages.
So happy you are back drawing even though times suck. My kids on their devices constantly as well and we ha ha tried to ha ha set up a ha ha daily schedule but ha ha it didn’t work. Look after yourself x
So good to have your drawings. Helps us. Home schooling getting creative. Rolling down the garden slope counting as the PE part of it.
So good + very relateable, Sarah!
Perfection. More important than your job…
Haha my boss wouldn’t think so but thank you!
So good to have you there documenting your travails. Isolation tip. This is a good time to put the dreaded Efudix on your sun damaged skin as I am on my nose, and watch it become inflamed. Is Barbara now an alcoholic? No it’s Efudix!. Maybe will have to do my first ever selfie!
Haha! I hope it does the trick? Lovely to hear from you, Barbara. Will a lot of us become alcoholics over this period? If it happens to me I have the perfect foil…
It was good to read you’re feeling a little better. Lovely words from your sister in panel two. I agree about the sleep thing in your intro piece. I think it is important we try and get good amounts of sleep through all this. It’ll help make us function better.
I was interested to hear an education expert say last night that most home schooling schedules, even in the mega organised Asian countries last about 3 weeks max! Their suggestion was to ask your children, particularly high school kids to select 5 topics they are interested in and get them to research them then share them online with their friends. Who knows, could save a lot of years.
That’s meant to be tears, not years!🤣
That’s a good hot tip!
Lovely to see your drawings and read your thoughts again.
