The COVID-19 diaries
23/03/2020

Hello again after a long absence! I have been feeling out of sorts, as I imagine you all are, and I thought it might be useful to record this collective experience that we are having. I set myself some constraints — no pencilling, ink straight to paper and no more than ten panels so that I can also post this on instagram. I’m trying not to overthink this. For any international readers, we are still waiting for COVID-19 to fully hit New Zealand but there is reason to believe there is community transmission, so the government is taking firm measures. I am just waiting for school to be cancelled…

Go Sarah! Xox
Thanks Sarah! Take care x Anna
Thank you Sarah. That was a helpful read. Maybe because I found solace in a shared experience. You’re wondering was similar to mine . I went to an op shop and a similar local bookshop to ease my mind also. I also went to art supply shop to stock up a little but in a bit of a flustered head space I misplaced a couple things. A pen and some pencils are laying around somewhere in the CBD but I’m not going back in to town.
That is funny, Brent – I also lost my pencil case in my flustered state! But I had bought some new pens so I drew my comic with that. I am feeling a little sad about my lost Lamy fountain pen though… I may have to venture back into the city
Lovely to have you back! xx
Thanks 😀

I wrote a comment but I couldn’t figure out how to load it. So you will just have to hear that I loved it. I have been locked out of Square Edge and so I decided I would work from home but I have left my water colours there so I guess I’ll just vacuum the floor.

Auē, kei te tino hari au. Kua whakahoki koe! Tumeke. Arohanui!
Yay! Welcome back.
I touch my face as I read your post – my pupils are dilated but that might be from the adrenalin, although I like to think it’s because you’re doing comics again! Keep it up!

Good to see you back darlin’- this is exciting! –
Am so pleased that you are back. Great news (even if we weren’t in lockdown mode). I missed Let me Be Frank and was delighted to see your posts pop up in my emails again.
I had no idea that OP shops are even open! I miss thrifting so much. Love your art, this is such a creative way to blog.
P.s.: I have a blog as well, feel free to check it out 🙂
