Disbelief
10/11/2016
First of all, commiserations to my U.S. readers, who now have to live with Donald Trump as their leader. I really didn’t imagine that this would happen. This comic may seem facile, but I felt like I had to draw something, no matter how simple, to mark this day. I don’t want the kind of world that Donald Trump represents. I want a world that is kind and full of compassion. Aroha nui.

Reblogged this on Poetry Box.
whoops deleted that was trying to reblog (never done this before!) on Poetry Shelf. Can’t seem to do that now.
Doesn’t seem facile at all. On the contrary, it’s a pretty accurate representation of how I’m feeling/trying to feel. I’ve spent most of the day staring into space, trying not to freak out. Now I’m eating a pint of ice cream. Tomorrow will be better.
Thank you for the comic.
Yes. Thinking of you.
I think you’ve summed up the reaction of most people I know Sarah. Thanks!
We are officially in the Age of the Clod. The unthinking, ill-educated bullythug rules. Goodness help us all!
Today I feel in despair but I felt a kind of catharsis reading your comic. Thank you Sarah, it’s why you do what you do so well.
That perfectly encapsulates how i felt the day after DT was elected and I cried and then asked my sons later that night if they understood why I had cried. They did. Then we talked about how when they are old enough they must always always vote….
