Night walking
I’m procrastinating – I’m meant to be doing a comic for a magazine (not Metro this time!) and I felt like I should warm myself up by doing some extra messy drawing. I’ve run out of good paper so I’m just using copier paper and the Lynda Barry technique of putting a piece of cloth underneath to soak up the extra water from the paint. Of course I couldn’t find a nice piece of toweling so I grabbed an old nappy from the rag bin. Nappies! Thank god I don’t have to change them any more.
For those of you who want to buy my comics, you still can! Only $6 each! Just email me, sarah@poppyshock.com. And now I’m going to go and procrastinate some more, by making scrambled eggs and taking my latest bundle of comics orders to the post office. I will do my actually-will-get-paid-for comic soon – I can see it spooling out in my mind’s eye.
Lovely word play in this wonderfully dreamy comic, Sarah.
Thank you, Rachel!
The Greatest American Hero, I loved that show!
Amazingly drawn, very dreamy!
Love it!
My so was looking at the clouds yesterday and said, “What if we could just fly all the way up there to see the top and where the light changes.” This watercolor entry made me happy. Thank you.
I tried to like your post, but my cell phone wouldn’t let me. Anyway, your strip is awesome! Super cute, adorable.
You made a good cartoons on that. But the story line it is amazing giving one idea of what will happen if they won’t pay attentions… great job.
I like this post a lot please visit my blog http://indefinabledaydreams.blogspot.com/
LOL…this is a funny but true comic 🙂 what a lovely blog you have…
Your illustrations rock! I just love them. Too clever.
This is my first time go to see at here and i am really impressed to read your dreamy comic.
Love this – so airy and imaginative! I have my own webcomic too. Over 100 drawings so far, all done just for the fun of it! You can check it out at http://pezcita.wordpress.com/
very beautifully drawn…congrats on being fp!
Very good style. I find it reminiscient of those novels with illustrations I used to read during my childhood days. The combination of the dialogs and the illustrations are well-made as well. I am always a fan of very unique and imaginative works 😀
hahahaah good so
Love it..
Very nice. great use of colors. the overall feel of your comic is so light, it made nostalgic suddenly.

Oh man, totally had this feeling today. Or I might have mistaken it for low blood sugar….either way, it was cool. haha
Thank you for posting this piece of art. I love it!
I really like how you used water color! It makes a comic strip look so much nicer 🙂
This drawing is really pretty, and reminiscent of a children’s book’s illustrations. Love it.
