Radioactive nightmare

When I googled Z for Zachariah, I discovered that it was published posthumously — Robert C O’Brien died before he wrote the last chapter and his family finished it for him. He wrote some of my favourite childhood books — The Silver Crown, and Mrs Frisby and the Rats of Nimm.

I loved those books too. The world must be a whirlpool of strange and unbearable dreams at the moment. It is hard to sleep. You capture that splinter of terror well.

I love the colours you’ve used in this strip Sarah – beautifully eerie. Also, Mrs Frisby and the Rats of Nimm – I’d forgotten all about that book! I too loved it to pieces x
I remember having nightmares for weeks after watching ‘The Day After’ as a teenager..!
I’ve been having tsunami dreams too. Mind you, I’ve had those regularly since childhood, so…
But what crazy times… 😦
The colour is perfect. No wonder we all are paranoid.
Thanks, guys! I had another tsunami dream last night (come to think of it, I’ve had them all my life too!), and Otto dreamt that the pohutukawa tree fell down and a gnome jumped out and said ‘it’s the end of the world.’ I swear I haven’t let him watch any David Lynch films! Time for another comic, methinks…
