Hot, ripe, drunk

04/01/2011

More experiments in style – it is, after all, the holiday season. Did I mention how great the Vanessa Davis book is? She reminded me of the wonderful and outrageously prolific Joann Sfar, who gets away with messy watercolour. I also got a cool children’s book out from the library, from another one of my favourites, Maira Kalman, who teamed up with Lemony Snicket. She’s not messy, more like skewed.

    Hi Sarah,

So lovely to have your posts back – my favourite thing to look at once the kids have been bundled into bed. Here in London it’s grey & rainy. Hurrah for summer & little ones wandering round in nappies & feeling that you’re going to fry as you push the buggy along the empty street. Pity about the berries! Yoga also on my New Year list – also neglected since the last prenatal class – think how stretchy we could be.

Love the watercolour too! Happy New Year

Why do we love colour so much. Must get going on creating some colour. Keep it up. Great to have this to look forward to.
