Tiny cities and secret cupboards.

08/07/2010

One of the great things about being in town is that I can easily go to exhibitions and libraries to do research — I don’t have to rely on Wiki and Google.

When I was a child, I loved the idea that the back of a cupboard could give way to a winter wonderland, and that in every Nancy Drew novel there would be a secret panel in a study.

I love the blog. Love the pictures and ideas.

I felt like shrinking down when I read this article on a Titahi Bay man making fairy doors. But I’d rather not have a spider body, thankyouverymuch. That would creep me out.

Yeah, I’m enjoying indulging in surrealism – for some reason while I’m writing fiction, I am always stuck in social realism.
      Will check out that article!
